Our Story
Harbor House opened its doors in 2016 with a mission to become a positive, welcoming presence in the Southern Orange County community.

Since then, we’ve offered a wide range of opportunities, from community outings to group workshops, that foster connection, growth, and friendship. We’re proud to be a clubhouse where members feel supported and where the broader community feels welcomed. Our goal is to keep creating experiences that inspire pride, belonging, and joy.

What is the Harbor House Day Program like?

Clubhouse Units

At Harbor House, our day program invites members to take an active role in the daily life of the clubhouse by joining one of our specialized units.

Each unit focuses on a key area—Administration, Kitchen, or Media—giving members the chance to develop skills, contribute to the community, and work as part of a supportive team. These units are a great way to build confidence, learn new things, and stay meaningfully involved.

Amenities

Beyond our Clubhouse Units and daily activities, Harbor House offers several spaces designed to enrich everyday life and support well-being for everyone.

Members can enjoy the Games Room for pool and socializing, find calm in the Quiet Room, or get moving in the Gym Room. Whether you’re in the mood for a craft workshop, a workout, or simply a peaceful place to recharge, you can find your own space.

Community Outings

At Harbor House, members have the chance to participate in community outings every day.

Outings are flexible and member-driven, so you can decide where you’d like to go and when. Whether it’s a visit to a shopping mall, movie theater, park, public gym, café, or even an amusement park, these trips are a great way to stay active, explore your interests, and connect with the world around you.

Resume and Job Skills

Harbor House helps our members prepare for and find jobs. Our job coaches are here to help you build the skills and confidence you need for a successful job search.

From preparing for interviews to gathering the right documents and completing job applications, we offer step-by-step support every step of the way. We’re here to help any member who wants to work feel ready and empowered.

On-The-Job-Support

For members who qualify, we also offer on-the-job support to help make the transition into the workplace as smooth as possible.

Job coaches can assist directly at the work site, helping members understand their responsibilities, stay organized with their schedules, and feel confident in their new roles. This extra support can make all the difference in building a successful and positive work experience.
